1. Bob Scheiffer was HORRIBLE today towards Clark
I thought it was a disgraceful interview...and a reminder of how easy they "question" all members of BushCo.

American Media--you are responsible for this war. You.

2. Yuck
Yeah I just read the whole trascript, I could tell the tone by reading it!

I hate it when they cut people off mid-sentence and ask the same question five different ways...

Give me a break!

3. Wes Slams!
I especially enjoyed that Wes pointed out that Bush had made great strides in his life by putting down the bottle and getting it on in a Christian way with the woman he married. I mean, we know she was the one who actually married him, right? I do so much deplore the media. Two thumbs up to Wes for not slamming Howie, despite repeated baiting. Great answer to the gay marriage question. If states want to do something stupid like voting to try to amend the constitution to prevent same sex marriages, I say let them work themselves into a feverish pitch. No delusions of perceived constituency approbation here, as if that mattered to Clark.

Go Wes!

4. his take on why people like Bush is really interesting
He's talking about how Dean is capitalizing on the "residual" anger from 2000, then says this about Bush:

But I'm not running to bash George Bush. A lot of Americans really love him. They love what he represents, a man who's overcome adversity in his life from alcoholism and pulled his marriage back
together and--and moved forward.

I'm not a huge fan of Clark, but by far he's the one I like hearing from the most, especially on forieign policy, but his answer about gay marriages was fantastic too, despite the interruptions and the attempt to prevent him from expressing his thoughts the way he intended.

6. Bush has overcome adversity? Wow, I guess the threshold
deinition for adversity is extremely low these days. But I understand his answer.....sad that saying your a Christian is like getting a "get out of jail free" card in avoiding the personal responsibility for one's true character. Did Bush ever return the money he stole from Harken investors? I doubt it.
