(Monday) Boston Herald poll shows Dean leading Kerry by 9 pts. in Mass.
Edited on Mon Nov-24-03 04:57 AM by pruner
Polls show Romney's approval down, Dean topping Kerry in Mass.

A second poll of 424 probable Democratic primary voters taken by RKM Wednesday through Friday showed Dean would beat Kerry 33 percent to 24 percent if the election were held now. The poll found 21 percent undecided.

The poll also gave 7 percent to retired Gen. Wesley K. Clark, followed by Connecticut Sen. Joseph Lieberman at 4 percent, U.S. Rep. Richard Gephardt at 3 percent and the other candidates at 2 percent or lower.

Myers said older voters and more liberal voters who have supported Kerry in the past have moved to Dean. The survey showed Dean's lead is steady among both genders.

Both polls had a plus or minus margin of error of about 4.9 percent.

5. Remember the good old Kerry?
Smiling...introducing John Lennon, protesting... I wish he'd lead a fillibuster sometime. :dem:

6. Wow. Just Incredible.
That's actually the third poll suggesting that Dean is outpolling Kerry: Eagle-Tribune, Boston Globe/WBZ, and now the Boston Herald/RKM.

It's astonishing, really.

I should say that I don't put much stock in polls, particularly these polls which are still WAY ahead of Super Tuesday. And they do bounce around.

7. that's true, but still good news for the moment
since state polls like these tend to demoralize the other campaigns or else makes them try to work harder.

8. Perhaps
I actually winced when I read those numbers. It can't be a joyous morning in Kerry's Boston headquarters. Having been on the receiving end of similar news in the past (as a volunteer supporter), it's really tough.

Because, despite all the venom and what I think is a mean-spirited campaign he's run, I still like John Kerry a lot.

10. I like Kerry...
...as a matter of fact, i look forward to passing legislation to send to him in the Senate.

Where he can then pass it and send it on to President Dean.
