DUers running for office? |
|
I remember seeing a few threads about DUers who were running for office-- one guy for state senate (I think) from a southern state, I think... I can't find those threads. Anyone have the info? I'd like to support.

14. Yup. But the election isn't until 2005. |
|
Next year I'll start my campaign, getting a website up, as well as getting 'facts' about the guy I'll be running against.
Oh, I'm running for Salt Lake City council.

11. I'm considering a State House seat |
|
It's iffy right now because other Dems are also considering and they have more exposure than I do. I don't want a primary fight among D's so I may back out.
I know of another DUer running but I won't say anything until the announcement is made.

16. There are other Dems in that district? |
|
It was chopped up so badly in the latest reapportionment, I was afraid you'd be all alone over there. Who are these other D candidates? PM me K?
I can't think of anyone better for the challenge then you. My only concern about your chances have nothing to do w/you but rather your geographic location within the new district. It'll be difficult (but not impossible) to overcome the spotty population bases (most of which are Republican to boot). But if anyone has the drive and ability to overcome the odds, I think it's you. :-)

But not now. It was my dream to be elected to something, but I am realistic about it not happening any time soon.
