The 5% Nation - Trickling Down For *? |
|
Economists predict a rosy outlook for 2004.
Seeing that the top 5% owns about 60% of our nations wealth (these are old stats...it's actually very difficult to find updated stats on this but i'm assuming it's gotten worse since Clinton), I'm thinkin' they may be choosing to turn on the fawcet to let trickle-down economics work - just long enough to get * re-elected.

1. Of course they'll pull it together for Bush. |
|
Democrats have made a big mistake assuming that they would face a fallen Bush.
They have to run against a "successful" Bush because that is the appearance the media will help foster for him throughout the general election.
How many times are the Dems going to respond foolishly before they understand this?

2. You evidently know nothing about greed |
|
They will part with nothing. They are quite short sighted when it comes to money. They have it and they want more and they are not about to give any up for anyone. Period. Some of the impact of Bush* economy is just now starting to be felt. A lot of businesses had reserves they had to get into and business has not picked up enough to replenish their reserves and they are bordering on failure right now. It will take a miracle to revive a large portion of these businesses. It ain't gunna happen under Bush*. He has proven he knows absolutely nothing about economics.

Bush has jacked up military and government spending to new heights, and this WILL trickle down temporarily - at the same time, Greenspan will keep printing easy money.
The corporate press will be full of stories of how the economy is improving and the recession is over. This is EXACTLY how Bush I got elected.
Don't underestimate how organized the wealthy class is in the US, and how class conscious they are. They are perfectly capable and willing to cooperate with each other long enough to put them in a better strategic position.

7. They'll make it APPEAR to be a recovery. |
|
I'm not saying there will really be one.
I know these thugs inside and out. A couple of my family members are BFEE. I know what they are capable of doing.

4. Trickle down will be selective, if there is any. |
|
The problem with the Trickle down effect is that the trickle down doesn't go to where it's most needed. You have the top 5% making designer choices, so to speak. And they intentionally hold the money from people who could use it most.

the upper 5% owns the majority of the wealth and makes the rules around here. They're better people than you or I.
