Moon controlling what Koreans read and know about US.

Although the Times boasts a considerable readership, it doesn't compare to the stranglehold Moon has over the media in his native South Korea. There, Moon is an unavoidably powerful media magnate, like Ted Turner if Ted were a reactionary, delusional conservative who claims to be God, or like Rupert Murdoch if Rupert Murdoch were — well, exactly like he is now, except more open about it. And Korean. Who says the GOP has a strained relationship with cult leaders of color?

Moon's Korean newspapers regularly quote his Washington Times without disclosing that it is both owned by Moon and widely regarded stateside as disreputable and inflammatory. That way, even though most Americans hopefully know not to trust the Times, one of the most volatile regions in the world is given a portrait of American views explicitly designed by a cult leader to exacerbate conflict between North and South Korea. Transnationalism's a bitch, huh?

1. If most Americans know not to trust the Times
You'd never know it by visiting DU...I see some posters here giving it as much credibility as the NYT

3. It's Cspan and BushInc. that gives Moonie Times credibility here.
If there was no Moon, there'd be a less powerful BFEE.

5. Not credibility. Try advisory.
Moon Times is a tool of the right wing. They plant information here. They chant the talking points. They take up their own personal vendettas. AND AND In fact, they test credibility - they throw it out there and see if a lie can have legs. There is nothing wrong with reporting on what they are saying and be alerted. It is essential to know the SOURCE of a quote or so-called news story.

You know if you hear it at Moon Times that you have to take caution. But it's a great source of the direction the right wing is going.

Moon Times. Moon assist.

6. The Bush Junta-Neo/Con-Moon Axis of Evil
Too bad most Americans have no idea how close the Bush family is to the Moonie Empire. It's at least as close as the Bush Family-bin Laden family link. Of course, most Americans have no idea about that either.

7. Exactly, RB. We'll be at war with N. Korea before they'll get a clue.
It sounds like Moon is doing his best to instigate one.
