1. And if I recall correctly
Edited on Mon Nov-24-03 04:08 PM by DulceDecorum
the military was not overly fond of Clinton.
And there were those who resented him for pulling them out of Somalia.

Late last night
I heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi
Took away my old man
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

2. Corect becuse the military
went into mission thinking, they always want to finish the mission

No soldier wants to aknowledge defeat.

Trust me they are going to hate the GOP, for destroying the
institution

3. Merely starting from Aug. and working one's way up to today's date...
we can see that our military is on a fast track to disaster.

Given a choice between beret colors and getting one's skull crushed in by a bunch of angry Iraqi teens waiting to enlist onto bigger and "better," it's safe to say many in our military would consider Clinton the Angel of Mercy compared to Bush.

4. Not just the color, but the fact that the berets were made in China
much like a ton of the "American Flags" which showed up at Wal-Mart in the weeks following 9/11/2001.

5. Such naive concerns when compared to what confronts our military now
I remember Clinton's Sec. of Defense William Cohen making several trips to military bases/ships, asking the soldiers what the US govt. could do for them. Janet Cohen played a big part in those morale trips, and her efforts were given special mention during one of Clinton's State of the Union addresses, much to her amazement. She broke out in tears.

Juxtapose William and Janet Cohen with Rumsfeld and his wife (is Rummy even married?? Good grief, who would have him?).

No comparison.

6. Clinton did good things for the military
foremost of these is keeping them safe by not starting idiotic wars.
