Iraqi Freedom Fighter Graffit Campaign |
|
Can you root for Iraqi freedom fighters without sounding like you're rejoicing in spilled American blood? Why certainly - if Iraqi freedom fighters began adopting non-lethal strategies.
Imagine if every Iraqi family spray-painted F*UCK GEORGE BUSH on their home? Seriously. Can you imagine what an extraordinary propaganda campaign that would be?
If half a dozen Iraqis did it, they'd obviously be in grave danger. But even Bush isn't stupid enough to destroy every home in Iraq.
What if Iraqis also began wearing shirts bearing that same message? Or what if some Iraqis began painting DEMOCRACY, NOT HALIBURTON on their homes?
The possibilities are endless. The European Union finally got a clue when they announced a coming trade war that will target Republican states and industries. In this complex, high-tech world, it's utterly astounding that people don't use more imagination when fighting for their freedom.

I don't have the link anymore, but about a month ago there was a story floating about the major media whoredom, that told of an Iraqi shopkeeper that had a pro-Saddam slogan graffittied on his store front. US soldiers showed up and started moving his stuff out of the shop so they could tear the place down (shades of the IDF!), but the shopkeeper convinced them that he didn't do it. Apparently one of the soldiers saw the same slogan on the shopkeepers notebook, and they went back to plan one - tearing the place down.
Now if ENOUGH Iraqis did it, the sheer numbers would make it impossible for the soldiers to chase down.
