They scrubbed the national ad but have local ones. The first Draft Lottery will likely be June 15, 2005. The Defense bill passed today includes $28 million to get the draft ready for activation within 75 days of March 31, 2005. 20-year olds of that year will go first!
The $28 million budget to reactivate is here:

http://www.hnn.navy.mil/Archives/010302/comcal.htmDraft board members neededThe wartime responsibility of the local draft board, comprised of five citizen-volunteers, is to determine whether a draftee receives a deferment, postponement, or exemption based on the individual registrant's circumstances or beliefs. A perspective board member must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, and not an active or retired member of armed forces or reserves component.
