2. BWAAAAH! Crybaby. So what's the scoop? Why wasn't he invited? |
|
I know he said he originally said in wouldn't be going, but changed his mind, but who disinvited him, shall we say?

Clark was a republican 2 weeks ago and now he's voting to keep a lifelong Democrat out of the debate. :(

5. Well, let's imagine the following scenario |
|
Let's say that Clark declined the invitation to the Iowa debate, citing scheduling conflicts. Then let's say that the DNC allowed certain candidates who had initially accepted the invitation to appear via satellite. And then let's say that Lieberman, who had initially turned down the invite, changed his mind at the 11th hour and was allowed to participate.
And then let's say that Clark decided that, since the rules had been changed to allow certain candidates to participate via satellite, he wanted to do so too.
Now you can bet that Clarkies on DU would go ballistic and would begin spewing conspiracy theories left and right if the DNC said Clark wouldn't be allowed to participate via satellite.

And I think Lieberman should have been permitted to appear via satellite. If it's true all of the candidates voted him down, though, he was being small about Clark and that I don't like.

12. I wouldn't spew conspiracy theories |
|
but if Clark did veto the Lieberman apperance it might have to do with the snotty remarks JL made about Clark not being able to re-arrange his fund raiser on Dec 10th ( which has since been resolved)to attend the New Hampshire debate. Joes remarks were totally unnecessary and petty.

13. Really, let the debates be for all. |
|
I don't care for Lieberman, but everyone should be included.
My gripe is that the debates don't seem to be shown on prime time TV. MSNBC, what is that a Bill Gates channel? I have yet to see a debate, but DU is a good site to see what the debates were like. One of these days I will get to see one. Dean against Bush on CBS with Dan Rather moderating, or maybe Walter Cronkite will come out of retirement for that. Sweet dreams.

14. The gutless wonders at the DNC should have made this decision |
|
instead of handing it off to the candidates. That was spineless response but what do you expect from the DNC? Lieberman should have been allowed to participate if it was possible.
That said, I don't blame any candidate for sticking it to Holy Joe whenever they can. The sooner they send his sorry ass back to the Senate (or better yet, retirement) the more I like it.
