Senator Harkins just rang the bell when he called attention to the fact that the Administrative Cost that is going to be charged by the HMOs for their Medicare Plans will be 15 to 21%.
That means instead of $0.97 of each Medicare dollar going for healthcare as they currently do; with the HMOs only $0.85 out of every Medicare dollar will be spent on healthcare. The other $0.15 will go to pay for corporate jets, country club dues, and the LARGE bonuses that are paid to top executives.
Looks like the Republican and Democrats that vote for this bill are saying to the seniors, “Bring out your dead!”

1. Why is Bill Frist's HMO connection getting virtually no press? |
|
I listened to at least three radio shows about this bill, and no one once brought that up.

3. Looks like the damned HMOs also will have a lot to be thankful for. |
|
It sickens me that Democrats are voting for this.
