Sneak attack caller nailed Rush yesterday...
The caller "Mike from Miami" had made an innocent comment about a congressional vote and then suddenly blurted, "How do you equate hypocrisy and addiction, pillhead?"

http://www.nypost.com/entertainment/11728.htm

Then I guess he hung up, and Rush did not respond to the attack until later in the show. Of course, the Limbo wesbite has the response, but not the caller. If someone has a link to this caller's barb I'm sure we would all appreciate hearing it.

1. Geeze. What? At least he made some sense while on drugs.

Start using again, pigman. Read what you said.

"If I were to admit I'm a hypocrite, then I'm going to be disqualified from being able to say what I think is right and wrong.

"I'm not going to let anybody take that away from me."

That's called denial on six continents, and seven if you count penquin languge.

And then:

"The liberals do the same thing with defense," he said. "They try to say that people who didn't serve in the military can't talk about defense. People who wish to be exempt from any moral judgment taking the occasion of my story to try to weaken the whole concept of right and wrong by taking shots at me."

For those of you without very young children, that's called switching blame, and poorly. My four year old does it better, but then, she's smarter and has never been addicted to drugs. And if that last sentence makes any sense to anyone who speaks English, I'd like them to let me know. I think it translates loosely into "I am the concept of right and wrong therefore any attack on me is an attack on right and wrong." Otherwise he seems to be saying that a person who does something wrong cannot be criticized for it without undermining all concepts of right and wrong, which of course would mean he was attacking right and wrong when he atacked Clinton.

I think, anyway. Maybe his mind just works at a much higher and faster level than human speech can represent, in which case we are in the presence of diety and should just bow down, kind of like they did in Guyana a couple decades ago. Maybe if we all do tons of illegal drugs and threaten the safety of our housekeepers while laundering drug money we can all relate to him better? I'm asking, I don't know.

On edit: And when I say he made some sense while on drugs, I don't mean he was ever right, just that often the words he strung together into sentences could be understood, illogical and inaccurate though they were.

2. has Rush blamed his doctor yet?
seems Rush and other reich-wingers are quick to take credit and even quicker to blame someone else for their screw-ups.

I'm waiting for Rush to blame his doctor for prescribing the pills in the first place.... "...my doctor prescribed the pills and didn't adequately warn me of their addictive nature....."

Or perhaps he'll blame the drug company for making such an addictive medication

oh wellllll, when he does that I think we'll smell a lawsuit brewing with Rush sueing he doctor and/or drug company for his own problems

Oh, SUGAR! I keep forgetting. Hypocrisy like that doesn't register.

10. I've been speculating
That he will uncover that his doctor is really a friend of Bill Clinton who over-prescribed Oxy-Contin as a favor for Bill & Hillary and got Rush hooked.

11. He sounds like he's crying.
He could be very close to admitting he has a problem: hypocrisy.

14. O D and die, pigboy!
When this fat fuck made fun of a 12 year old girl's appearance because he disagreed with her father's politics; he exhausted any hope of EVER receiving the least bit of sympathy from me. Die with festering boils you miserable excuse for a human being.

16. There was some hope on my part that this would change him.
But since it has no impact on him he is or certainly will start using again.

At the level of his addiction it will kill him. He won't get caught again if DOJ has to deliver the drugs themselves. It is ironic that he has never been in danger of proscution but thought so much of the government powers while he was using that he thought he was.

That says something, maybe that he didn't even know how corrupt the government really is, or maybe his mind was so far gone that he thought that if the dittos learned the truth it would hurt him professionally.

15. I heard rush calling his...........
housekeeper a liar yesterday. Well, he did not use that word but he insinuated it yesterday. I knew he'd eventually get around to it. He just cannot accept responsibility for his addiction. And when he tries to act like his addiction to pain killers is no where near the crime of a street junkie, I have to laugh. Talk about trying to fool yourself. Hey rush! Got a news flash for ya. No one held a gun to your head.

17. He says we'll hear more...
... so I'm looking forward to the day when Rush proves he is not a hypocrite by demanding that he be given the same sentence as anyone else who's been proven guilty of the same charges.

Read the article and you are right... the man makes no sense. "This is your brain on drugs," I suppose.

18. He Is Gloating Today, Flying High without Consequences
He played something by Santana and said it was "from Santana's hallucinogenic days." But when he was yapping about the Medicare bill, the ever-so-slightest catch in his voice was heard every time he said the word "drug". He also opened by saying he was "at home at the southern command," meaning that Florida is doing ZILCH to him. Arrrrgh, Roy BLACK!
