Bush repeated his line about fighting them here in the streets if....
we didn't fight them over there. Yesterday, he had on his flight jacket and was speaking to the troops here at Fort Carson before he met with the families of those that have lost someone in the war. So far, it's either 26 or 27 troops.

But they showed him speaking on local TV and he repeated his mantra about fighting them over there so we wouldn't have to fight them over here. Why do we have the Homeland Security? I thought that was to prevent the terrorists from coming over here? Am I wrong? Is he admitting that we are spending all this money for nothing?

2. So far,
Homeland security has been underfunded by this President. So far, a lot of innocent, peaceful people have been hassled at airports because of their names/appearance. So far, nothing has been done to address the root causes of terrorism; instead, much has been done to create situations which breed terrorism.

3. fighting them over there
is to make their case about conquering Iraq, " to protect Americans from terrorists like occurred on 9/11". It hides the premise of the PNAC and its world view and works well with the blind faithful who don't have a clue. They will depend on that blind faithful and others too scared to not vote for Bush due to misrepresentation of fact to win this election for them. Another reason I support Clark besides working through channels he knows to get international cooperation on helping us get out of the Iraq situation and rebuilding relationships to combat terrorism, is he will help inform those that lean towards Bush because of 9/11 trauma. Once the lie is over, Bushco may not get elected. However, if there is another terrorist attack, even a small one here, it probably means Bush will get the presidency again (even though it could be argued then, that the administration was concentrating too much on Iraq, not enough on terrorism).
