SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. -- As a civilian, a thousand miles from the compounds and chaos of southern Iraq, Shawna Edmondson hopes to return to the life she left behind.

One of four U.S. Army reservists accused of using excessive force against Iraqi prisoners of war, Ms. Edmondson, 24, returned to her South Abington home on Friday, a few weeks after choosing an other-than-honorable discharge over court-martial proceedings.

1. This is the type of stuff that is inevitable when Army is used as police
Bring our troops home and let a UN peace keeping force take over. There are going to be many GIs that will have nightmares because of their behavior for the rest of their lives. And Republicans say they support our troops. You don't bring a howitzer to a boxing match.
