John Edwards on NPR
I've got to say this; I've been listening to Edwards talk for about 20 minutes now and I hear a man with integrity. This following the medicare vote - talking about why the new medicare program is bad; says the Dems are looking for a way to have it recalled. "Bush doesn't care about medicare, if you wanted to dismantle healthcare in this country you'd do exactly what this president has done". There's no money, Bush has given it all away to his buddies. The deficit just keeps growing and growing.
Now he's talking about voucher programs in schools - it's undermining public schools and setting them up for failure.

Anyway, my support is with Clark, but I do like Edwards quite a bit; he makes a lot of sense and seems to genuinely care about us common folk.

3. Clark & Edwards
I'm another Clark supporter who thinks highly of Edwards. He has the curse of looking a lot younger than he is (I have the same "problem").

A Clark/Edwards ticket contains the names of the next 16 years of Presidents of the U.S.A.!

6. I like Edwards too..
but I wish he'd drop the "I'm the son of a Mill-Worker" schtick already... Every debate, every appearance, he drops it in like it gives him some kind of street legit or something.

Of course, maybe because I'm a political jumkie, I've just seen him talk more than the average folk...

10. I think we follow this sort of thing more than most people.
So we are more likely to know the schtick than most people, especially at this early stage.

I rather like it, too, being that I am the son of a factory worker who is tired of being asked to choose between two aristocrats every four years.

12. I like it too. It reminds of the way Clinton said he was the boy from Hope
a million times until it was deeply ingrained in everyone's head, except that I think it's even more powerful than saying you're the boy from hope.

I hope he does not get saddled with Clark especially as VP. he'll disappear faster than Geraldine ferraro and ed muskie.

8. They go together...like rama lamma lamma....
Bang bang, bang she bang she bop
That's the way it should be....

Clark and Edwards need to go over the heads of their staffs and speak together. I see a number of parallels between the two, I think they are very, very well matched and would complement each other nicely--in either combination.

11. It's crystal clear: Clark/Edwards.
I heard the Diane Rheim interview. Edwards is astonishing. Clark and Edwards together are damn near imponderable. Democratic majorities as far as the eye can see.
