6. I see the problem
The results I cited in the original post were from the same poll, but were the answers to:

If the only remaining candidates in your caucus were Howard Dean, John Edwards, Richard Gephardt and John Kerry, which one would you vote for?

Offered a choice among all candidates, responses where:

Dean: 32%

Gephardt: 22%

Kerry: 19%

Edwards: 11%

Clark: 3%

Kucinich: 3%

Sharpton: 2%

Lieberman: 1%

Mosely-Braun: 1%

Undecided: 5%

8. Clark at 3%
I thought he was supposed to be the "savior????"
Oops I guess the general will have to wait for Georgia and Mississippi for his KKK base to show up.

9. He isn't running in Iowa, though. So why support him there.

11. Looks Like A 3-man Race To Me
If Kerry took Iowa by surprise, he would have amazing momentum going into New Hampshire. As Dean is the front runner, unless it is a decisive victory, an Iowa win won't matter unless he takes New Hampshire, too. If Dean takes both, the race is pretty much his. Obviously, the same holds true for Kerry.

I'd say reports of his political death have been somewhat premature.

12. can go with you halfway
If dean wins both, the nomination is his. same could probably be said for kerry.

however, dean does NOT have to win Iowa; all he has to do is finish second to Gephardt, whose campaign is non-existent outside of iowa.
