Democrats stole election in some states in 2000. |
|
That's what I was just told by a gentleman at the used book store. He was saying something about there is evidence that Democrats stole the Presidential election in Minnisota and a couple other places. It was in response to my pointing out Greg Pallast's work in Florida on the 2000 election and the names that were removed from the voters role.
Anyone have any info on it? I am thinking it's crap, but I'd still like to see the allegations. Particularly if they are being refuted by a reputable source.

Assume Freepers lie, and demand proof. If they don't have proof, accuse them of being insane.

5. I was in MN during the 2000 election |
|
I never heard anything like that. All the polls showed the state going to Gore will before voting day. I remember everyone thinking Nadar would have more votes than he did in the state, but that's about it. I was in Minneapolis, was the guy talking about a different area of MN?

Yeah, I'm sure Minnesota would vote for Bush they are so conservative you know. That must be why they kept electing Paul Wellstone to senate and was the only state that carried Walter Mondale when he ran for president.
In all honesty, claiming that Minnesota stole Gore is insane. Mondale would be senator if the right wing media whores didn't exploit the Paul Wellstone memorial. Hannity, Limbaugh, Noonan, Carlson, et al who some how got the american people to beleive that the 4 hour memorial was a fifteen minute political partisan call to action that they ran sound bits from and the remaining 3 hours and 45 minutes of booing Trent Lott.
Minnesota stole the election for Gore, Puh Leeze, it's not like Minnesota didn't let black people vote or up and decided that 1000 votes needed to be "corrected".

9. He was in a book store. |

You should've told him to get the book he found that in. If he couldn't, or said it was TV, or worse radio, then call him a numbskull, and stop wasting your oxygen.

Tucker Carlson told the Canada lie on Crossfire today. You know the one that says that Canadians come here to get health care. I wrote CNN and demanded that he back up his comments with facts, which he can't of course. I told them that they have an obligation as a news outlet to provided the unbiased truth to the best of their ability and that they shouldn't let propaganda shills like Carlson say anything like that without facts to back up his statements or a rebuttal from an authoritative source, like a Canadian health care expert. I know they won't but I try anyway.

11. I am aware of only one specific allegation |
|
That involves some wealthy woman who allegedly paid homeless people in Milwaukee (with cigarettes) to vote for Gore, but that did not affect more than a couple hundred votes at best, and Gore won Wisconsin by over 5,000 votes.

Or if they found out about it from Elephant Jazeera cable news.
