Who wants to choose none of the above ? |

As far as the democratic presidential canidates go ? I admit to being interested in a couple, and I do respect Al Sharpton for some of his past actions. I may not like him or all his actions in the past, but I respect that Sharpton isn't scared to speak his mind. Also he doesn't seem as stuck in a rut as some of the others. Nonetheless, I think his best days are behind him. I don't get a warm feeling reguarding Kerry, Edwards, Bruan and Liberman just needs to take out a loan and buy a clue. Joe isn't dynamic or interesting. More like pendantic, and unreasonably boring. Don't know why Gore thought this guy would be anything but a millstone around his neck. Gore and Hillary have said they aren't running, so there go the most recognisable names ( outside of Kennedy ) that the party has. Some people would vote for any of those three just baised on thier past legacy, none of which are entirely bad. Although I have mixed feelings about all of them on a personal level. Ambitious people often have intesting stories and all those seeking the favor of the party are ambitious. But many seem to have reached thier pinnacle of achievement getting where they are, keep in mind no matter who gets picked as the nominee only one will get the official nod of approval. So all the others will be left to support that person, which I doubt will happen. No matter the nominee some will abstain from supporting them since that person wasn't thier pick. Who can win, dunno. I know who can loose however. Everyone. Bush is an anti-intellectual psychopath with a narssasistic streak unparelled in modern history. Bush is a destroyer, like a shallow spoiled child George only cares for himself. But, he is willing to do you favors for the right price as long as it doesn't inconvenience him personally too much. George has given out some real favors that aren't in the best interests of the country. Someone needs to open a can of whoop-ass and step to the front of the line in a convincing manner. The democrats need a superhero to take on the super villian - Bush. Either that or the party needs to convince the majority of voters that George is bad for you. Keeping in mind George has been good to some people - just not those who can't do anything for him. Soon the party will need to choose and Unite. We don't have a choice. Loosing this time ( stolen or legitamate ) would likely be a setback that we may not recover from for many years. Already many people on the fringes of society - people who are poor and others who have a specific issue feel marginalised by the party. I know you can't please everyone and I accept that, but some people can't. And as americans we have been both coddled and lied to, accepted and rejected and played like a harp until our stings are wound tight enough to snap. Soon will be the time to choose , and when the choice is made the game really begins.

2. Absolutely not! We have an excellent spectrum of choices - |

I would not be happy about voting for Holy Joe, but he is not a republican - check out some rants on the subject on the Daily Kos. And he's the most conservative. Others have things I'm leery of - Kerry's skull-and-bones association, for example - but this is a very strong field; I'm happy to see all these people running. First time in a while I think we've seen some people really concerned with caring for the country in major politics.
