What's the deal with "blogs"?
As I Dean supporter I'm supposed to be big on blogs...specifically, the Dean blog. From what I have seen, I hate blogs. Maybe I'm missing something. Dean's blog seems to be 1 long linear path of thought and response. Horrible to try and follow. I much prefer this forum and the Dean Issues forum at deanissuesforum.com which both have "message board" format. Am I missng something or do you hate blogs too?

1. I only like a couple of blogs.
Josh Marshall's and Eric Alterman's.

The rest I could take or leave.

2. Kos's new format is easier to follow.
Thing is, 99.99% of blogs get just a few responses per article, if that. A few, like dailyKos and Blog For America, get lots of responses, and format gets more important really quickly.

6. Daypop and Blogdex are interesting
They track the inter-blog links and show what is most popular

across the 'blogosphere'

7. blogs = Web diaries as if anyone gives a shit what you think
I hate blogs. All the ones I've read are just ego diaries, people thinking that all these others really give a crap to know what they think on a daily basis. Outside of a few funny or profound statements that could have been made in an opinion piece or contribution to a newslist, they are a waste of bandwidth and time.

8. ....
I only read others if I want to add to mine, which I find entertaining. I run mine because I have a desire to comment on news stories.
