The American military said today its forces had detained the wife and daughter of a former top Iraqi general, Izzat Ibrahim al-Duri, who it believes is at large in Iraq and coordinating some of the attacks against foreign occupation troops.

1. It will be a popular move with voters, for Duri, or for Americans

as long as the victims are Muslims, preferably brown ones, or in the case of American citizens, either poor, non-white, and/or critical of the bush regime.

The media is doing an excellent job of presenting it in a matter-of fact way, as a run-up to showing the torture of the children on Pay-Per-View.

I imagine it will generate more ad revenues than a Mike Tyson fight.
