America under President Gore.
If Al Gore were allowed to take the White House as he actually won, I believe these things would have happened....

The World Trade Center would still be standing and 3,000 people would still be alive. Feds would have arrested those who were about to plot the attacks.

The economy may have hit a bump but Gore would have not given tax big giveaways to the wealthy.

The environment would not be under such a huge threat like it is now.
The air in Houston would probably be much cleaner.

Al Gore would be the first president to make a state visit to North Korea.

I don't know if all of this would have been true if Gore were allowed to take office but one can wonder what if. I may not agree with a lot of what he did but it would have been a hell of a lot better than what we have now.

Speaking of Al Gore, are there anybody here at DU that still wishes he would run? I found this website...

1. Well,
Though I believe Al Gore would have made a better president, I still believe that the World Trade Center would be still been hit. It's just the world would still have pity for us.

2. and that $87 billion earmarked for Iraq ...
... Instead would be rebuilding the health care and education systems at home (and part of it would be revitalizing Rust Belt cities with a challenge to become the world's provider of low-emission vehicles and heating/cooling technologies).
