Dangerous New Anti-Marijuana Legislation To Be Introduced Soon!
http://capwiz.com/norml2/mail/oneclick_compose/?alertid=4243021

"As the 2003 Congressional legislative session comes to a close, Rep. Mark Souder, one of the most ardent drug warriors in Congress, intends to introduce legislation to drastically increase penalties for certain marijuana offenses. The bill also enacts new draconian penalties that could sentence compassionate Americans that grow and provide medical marijuana to decades in federal prison."

1. *sigh*
As the rest of the world takes a step forward, America takes 27 backwards.

2. A new front in the war on the people
The prison industry must be squarely behind the repugs. Maybe we can set some rapists and murderers free to make more room for pot smokers. This is government out of control.

3. I'm reading Reefer Madness, by Eric Schlosser
..and the idiots in our govt are on the wrong side of medicine, civil rights, rational thought, and the American citizenry.

just another reason to leave the cell block America that is the repuke vision for us all.

if people voted with their feet, maybe this govt would collapse under the weight of its own stupidity.

btw, I met a guy from the Netherlands yesterday. After I said few things to him in Dutch, I asked him to take me back to his country with him.

he said sure, and told me he'd be back on Friday.

do you think he meant it?

:)

he also noted that in his country, most people who live there do not spend all their time in the coffee shops. it's the Americans who seem to want to check it out all the time. They're probably in shock that a country could actually treat its citizens with respect, rather than try to harass them for a non-crime to please a minority sect of religious nuts.

5. Don't they seem to get it?
The Police and Jails have their hands full dealing with violent criminals. Maybe we should give them a break and let non-violent Marijuana users off the hook?
