Will Politics Come Up as a Topic at the Thanksgiving Table? |
|
Just wondering. I'm having a really small one (4 people) this year... it'll probably come up.
But I wanna hear about your freeper brother in-law...

My father-in-law and bro-in-law LOVE Dubya because he is such a godly man.
My dad hates him, as do mother and I.
And my hubby doesn't like to talk politics EVER.
I would be sent to eat out on the porch if I tried to stir things up today.
Here's hoping my dad can keep it reigned in as well. *l*

Its the ten ton elephant in the living room of the planet....
Happily, all of my family, and most of my friends, are anti-Bush. I thank heaven that I do not have some weaselly GOP prick to put up with, and I pity anyone who does.

My Dad and brother are staunch conservatives so I don't even bother.

5. Yes! At dinner our very bright, straightforward, staunch Democratic |
|
13 year old, (But very advanced. Straight A+, advanced subjects.)asked who we were going to vote for. And the discussion was off and running!! After dinner I showed her DU and she thought it was cool, but she prefers a Democratic chat room. She likes Clark as do I & my wife. Everybody had a wonderful time. The food was good too.

6. I don't know, I won't be there- |
|
Not since the Thanksgiving of '00...when I called my repuke mom-in-law a "...stupid fucking partisan BITCH!".
I haven't had to speak to a single in-law since that day- you should try it, it works wonders.

7. Yes. I come from a long line of liberals. No conservatives this year |
|
We didn't invite them. We figured since they are fundamentally opposed to handouts we wouldn't feed them. Politics is getting personal for my family. Especially since I busted my ass on the recall they KNEW I would not share a dinner table with anyone that undermined my efforts.
While all families have issues, I must say...I love my family for backing me up.

I met a fellow dem at a pre-feast cocktail hour and my kid and I discussed her Bands Against Bush t-shirt at dinner. Mr. CMD was outnumbered today.
