Democrats: Boycott Holiday Shopping This Weekend, or
only buy your gifts from other Dems and coops and other non-destructive vendors. Let's not feed the corporate bush campaign finance machine!

Turn your cash into a Weapon of Mass Construction.

Please kick this thread for the weekend.

1. I'm going to do whatever makes me happy for the holidays. :)
I deserve it, and I'm not letting Bush, you or anyone else change that. :)

I'm with Zorra! I'm going to try and think outside the box and support those who support my concerns and that will make me very happy!

3. I'm going to buy a NORML phone card
or anything from working assets. Shop like a lefty this holiday. Next year, we take back America. :dem:

4. I joined Costco
after I found out last week they were the only corporation that is giving the evil Walmart competition. Also, the CEO of Costco is a big Democratic donor. I'm not a big fan of the giant discount stores, but if I can use one less evil corporation to destroy a truly evil corporation, I figure I'm helping. Also, I highly recommend Working Assests long distance and cell phone service---they are fantastic and I have really saved money!

5. Wow
I'm hearing more and more good stuff about Costco. I already bought a shirt for the dh from www.sweatx.net, a clothing collective started by Ben Cohen and others. I'll look to Costco for more presents.

Not this weekend, though. Nothing would induce me to go out in those crowds.

6. I went Tuesday---yeesh!!
I thought (somehow) it would be less crowded--WRONG! But hey, I bought 28 Duracel AA batteries for 9 bucks--now my remotes will work for ages!!

9. I joined Costco two years ago.
I like their layout much better and its people are much more attentive and friendly. Knowing the CEO is a big Dem contributor makes me feel even better about dumping my Sam's membership!

Jazzgirl

8. No malls where I live, no Wal-Mart in my county
and I hope it stays that way.

What would be good is if folks make a list of good co-ops/mom/pop stores in their area where they recommend folks shop.

Ozark Cooperative Warehouse in Fayetteville AR is great-and supports local organic farmers

Nature's Wonders in Harrison AR has health foods/supplements, and is run by a family whose motto is "We aren't in business to make money, we're in business to help people"
