Phone call I just took at RW Radio

I am doing some fill in work at a station running right wing rhetoric. Yeah it sucks, but I needed the money and it's holiday pay and all. Besides it lets me here the crap that they spew.

Anyway I am currently running a replay of The Rusty Humphries show from last week and he's going on and on about putting everyone who doesn't agree with the resident* in jail and all that.

Anyway the phone rang and the person on the other end was an older gentleman and he asked me who the "talker" was. He asked if it was live or tape and after I told him it was taped he got upset. I asked why and he said because he wanted to give this guy a piece of his mind and kick his ass.

This gentleman was mad as hell, 80+ years old and called Bush a "draft dodging treasonous asshole" The gentelman had fought in Korea, had seen the guys like Bush, the privaleged get pushed through during his time and not have to fight in the trenches.

I asked him what he thought about the Medicare package that was passed and he said he didn't know because he wasn't through reading it and was so far quite confused by it. He did say that he didn't like it one bit on it's surface and that he expects a lot of older people will "end up on the street" when this kicks in. He was a wonderful person to talk to and he is NOT taking this misadministration laying down. He's saddened by the right wing threats of not toeing the line and all that we discuss here.
He mentioned Rush, Hannity and said when he listens he tries to call in, but they never take his calls because they know he's mad and liberal. He said if he had the chance he "would kick each one of their asses for the lies and bullshit that they spread!"

I just felt I needed to share this story. People are mad as hell..all ages, and they are NOT being fooled. Polls and all that in my opinion are crap. Deep down, good news, bad news, whatever, I really beleive that the majority of Americans know that Bush* et al are nothing more then lying crooks, and they will be voted out of office in '04.

had better watch the events in the coming days very closely. This administration, which came to power by illegal and un-Constitutional means will not hesitate a heartbeat to say in power using the same tactics.

We are at a double-critical turning point in this country. In order to defeat this administration we are all going to have to sacrifice and actively work at it. That is how they got into power. Americans expect their rights and liberties to be handed to them on a silver platter, and they have come to take them for granted. Between now and next November, we will have to EARN them.

that my neighbour across the street, elderly again as with my mext door neighbour as well..not fooled one bit by ol' Georgie boy.
Both of these guys had fought in Korea, and think that this is by far the WORST administration they have ever seen in their long years.

13. For those of you who may have been concerned....

for my well-being, I made it out alive!!!!

It truly is frightening how hateful these people are toward anyone who doesn't follow lock-step with the right wing point of view.
It's ok for them to have pro war rallies, but we can't have anti-war rallies because we are nothing but hateful left wing, anti-USA, Bush hating, socialist, communist thinking lunatics.

But when it comes our illustrious 9 who are running for the Presidancy, they are wrong wrong wrong...they can't protect America the way Bush can....

I know you know and have heard it all before, but sitting through their crap for 6 hours was truly eye opening in way I never could imagine. Yeah I have listened to each one for 5 minute stints...but at elast I was able to turn the switch the frequency.

I have a couple more shifts to do during the holidays and seriously, if it weren't for the double time I wouldn't do it, but make no mistake I will still drop a few laugh tracks in at opportune times, maybe a twilight zone theme here and there...a gaffaw should I find one.
