Paul Krugman: Bush worse than Nixon or Reagan
Paul Krugman said on a book tour lecture, taped in October and broadcast on C-SPAN 2 today (November 27, 2003) that Bush is worse than Reagan because at least Reagan argued that tax-cuts for the rich would help the
poor (trickle-down). Bush just lies about who gets the tax-cut in the first place (the overwhelming majority of my tax-cut goes to those at the bottom).

Also, Krugman quotes John Dean of Watergate as saying at least Nixon didn't go after wives (re Ambassador Wilson's wife who was exposed by the Bush administration as a CIA officer).

1. of course he is the worst president ever
but he continues to get away with all of his cheap photo op atrocities.

When someone can figure out, or, heavens forbid, be courageous enough to call him on his shit, then maybe we will have a chance.

As it is, he is on a roll--no one dares challenge him and we are losing any chance at all. The most recent debacle , the impromptu trip to Iraq, to off set the trip of Hillary Clinton and Reeves, is being touted as a wonderful thing and George is being touted as bery bery brave for thinking of it in the first place. It is disgusting--I know it is disgusting--it looks disgusting--but, when all is said and done, and the media gets done reporting the required report (from the white house demands) it looks as if this asshole of an AWOL president is really really a good , concerned commander in chief. I tell ya, someone has got this thing down pat and it is brilliant in it's propagandist approach.

how can anyone fight that? I would like to know--because it is these types of things that make it seem he is a wonderful , concerned leader. Never mind his stupid wearing of stupid military costumes and jackets--never mind his cheap two hour landing and turkey dinner at the airport and then the takeoff for home --nevermind the obvious intentions for photo ops--he is winning because of this propaganda--I mean it.

4. You must listen to an ol fart....
Krugman is all over this story. The shit that this silly ass excuse for a "responsible human being" has gotten away with is way above the infamous facists that have preceded him in my life time.... Nixon appears to be a socialist when compared to St Ronnie. And then satan appears: TMHMOE (The Most Hated Man On Earth) aka Chimp, Shrub, Dumbia, Dim Son, bunny pants, AWOL, etc. This foolish daddy-bought segmint of fical matter (piece o shit) then allows a bunch o tin horn chicken hawk "experts" aka PINAC to advise him on the future of our huge nation & ultimatly the entire world. Oh yes folks, this old Fart can testify: inequivaly speaking, this is the worst Iv'e seen on my watch...... They tried to kill me in Vietnam.. They tried to oppress me for my hair.. They tried to take my union wage away.. Now they want me to send my sons to a GOP vanity war..... AINT GONNA HAPPEN

5. No question about it
We've come a long way since the Nixon days. Too bad it's been mostly downhill.

The thing I hated about Nixon was that he used the war as a political tool, he was a divider, and the GOP played the anti-American, commie card for all it was worth against anybody who disagreed with administration policies. (Sound familiar?)

I really mourn for what this country has become. What scares me is that so many celebrate it.

8. and at the time, a substantial proportion of the media
believed they were obliged to find and tell the truth and be critical where criticism was due. They were independent.

9. Nixon may have been
"tricky Dickie" but at least he was intelligent and knew his "a$$ from a hole in the ground", unlike the chimp who doesn't know which end is up. :argh:

10. I thought Nixon did go after wives. Wasn't the bag man for the
watergate burglars some Republicans wife. She was carrying hush money for a burglar when her flight crashed near Chicago. The FAA was on top of the crash in seconds, which was unusual. Does anyone remember this story???
