Sleep on it. The truth is still our ally. |
|
Remember that you are never out of the game if you have the truth on your side. Did George Bush make the trip to Baghdad so he could have a political ad made from the pictures or did he truly go to let the troops know that they indeed have his support and prayers and he is doing everything possible to protect their lives and get them out of that God-forsaken country as soon as possible? If it is the former, he is lying about his intentions and he is more concerned about the next election than he is about the lives of those troops. If that is the case, the truth will eventually show itself. Deception and lies can only work for a given time.
Which do you think is true? Is Bush really and truly concerned about the safety and welfare of those troops or is he more concerned about winning the next election? I personally think he is more concerned about his own safety and welfare. I think that is the truth. And I think we have that truth on our side. And truth is a mighty ally.

1. Not the end of the campaign |
|
Just the beginning. This visit shows what the Dems are up against. The truth does come out but sometimes takes too long. Nixon '72 is a perfect example.

And the truth will triumph here also.

3. I have this strange feeling that Bush* will win next year |
|
And our country will go downhill from there. Honestly, the mess that he has created is so great that it's probably better to let him and the Repubs be around to get the "credit" for what they've done to this country.

4. He did it for the photo-op |
|
so that this photo-op will replace the one he intended to use with the "Mission Accomplished" banner. Obviously, that one has become a liability.
We can see through it; I wonder how many of the sheeple will.

8. If our Democratic candidates have any sense... |

THEY will use that mission accomplished picture in one of THEIR campaign ads. Let it get down and dirty. Shrub deserves it.

5. Thanks for the encouragement Kentuck |

I couldn't stand Wolf Blitzer gushing over the Bush* visit. It was a PR coup, at least on the surface, but it doesn't take much to uncover the lies behind it.
For instance, he had to be "smuggled in and out of the country. They had to take extradordinary security measures and create "cover stories" for his visit. It all is so rosey in Iraq, why was all this necessary? If the people of Iraq really love him and support him, why didn't he visit with them?
The truth is on our side indeed!
