The Tenant, the Inhabitant.
My wife was reading (somewhat laboriously)an article in a Spanish newspaper today. About George Soros, how he couldn't sleep at night because of *. Sound familiar?

Anyhow she came across an expression that she was translating, finally worked it out to one of these alternatives;

"...the inhabitant of the White House"

"...the resident of the White House"

"...the tenant of the White House"

Sound like the reporter wasn't a big fan. If that's how he's known in Spain that's fine by me!

I didn't think I could improve on any of these expressions. Unless to say the Usurper of the White House.

It's good to know that history in other countries is begin written (in some cases) more accurately.

1. Europeans knew about bush
It's interesting that they are picking up on his "tenancy," too. There was a lot of that in the speeches for the UK protest.

The Europeans had his number way before we did, however. I'll never forget the stories around the time of bush's inauguration that included European reaction. All their fears came true.
