Tom Delay is happy!
The beauty of a true democracy is that it has the ability to change over time. The horror of a true democracy is that the majority rules. We have come to a real crossroads in the evolution of this experiment we call democracy. It has become acceptable behavior for political leaders to commit crimes against the constitution in order to move their beliefs forward. Progressive ideals are teatering over the abyss of no return. Basically, industry moved into Washington, payed everyone off, and transformed the capital into a grand industrial clearinghouse with pseudorepresentatives who are really professional lobbiest. Why does our new industrial government love conservatism?

Environmentalism reduces profit. Protecting endangered species reduces profit. Protecting old growth forests reduces profit.

Internationalism reduces profits. Industry prefers the situation that has been created where we are TMHNOE (the most hated nation on earth). Open piracy for the remaining resources of the planet is easier to manage. The U.N. gets in the way.

Conservatives are satisfied when they can shop. Shiney new objects in a gated all white community overlooking the 15th hole with a hummer in the garage and an artificial lake is the conservative dream.

Male domination. Raise the standarts set by the christian right and womens issues are finished. The uppity NOW will be dismantled and abortion made super-illegal (Felony). Rape will become a lessor crime.

All social programs dismantled (in progress). Just as having both spouces working is good for profit, having no social programs is great for profit. This is bottom line capitalism at its most efficient. No barriers to performance and profit.

So as dissatisfied as Tom Delay may appear. Inside he is giggling.

1. Well, and they will start the organ harvesting soon
So that will be good for Delay. They'll find some nice teenager whos underperforming (and therefore a bad investment for the corporate monolith) and talk him into giving up his heart for Delay.

Actually some social programs are good for corps, so long as they aren't taxed for them. I mean most companies have to offer medical right now if they want to attract decent workers. Free government medical, so long as the burden is on the people, is good for corporations.

4. Tom Delay doesn't understand happiness...
and this is why he, and others like him make every attempt they can to destroy it for the rest of us! Tom Delay is a very unhappy fellow, and he will remain so until the day he dies.
