Bush is Toast (Liberals Will Kick Ass in 2004)

I see all these Bush can't lose postings, and the democratic party ended in 2003 crap.

I say BULLSHIT !

We have just begun to fight, this is the time to start kicking ass. We have less than a year until
the 2004 elections. The last thing we can do is give up and roll over, we have to fight to get our
country back.

There is strength in numbers, and we are the majority. Did you forget Al Gore got 600,000 more
votes than Bush on the 2000 presidential election ?

Did you forget Ralph Nader got 2.9 million more votes than Buchanan ?

That's 3.5 million more votes that went to the liberal then went to the conservatives. And Bush is
hated more than ever now, I doubt he will get as many votes in 2004 that he got in 2000. I believe
some republicans will not vote for him, and very few independents will. He has lost the independent
vote and a lot of moderate votes.

WE are the majority folks, remember that. We have to fight these right-wing bastards at every
turn and take our country back.

I for one will never give up, I plan to start a new political website dedicated to getting Bush
thrown out of office and to exposing the real agenda of the republican party. That is if I can raise
the money to do so, I have a thread here titled oreilly-sucks.com is in trouble. Please check it out
and donate if possible. If I raise enough money I plan to start a new website and donate my time
to build it.

I am tired of seeing the negative postings here so I decided to make a positive posting. We should
all do whatever we can to expose the lies from Bush and the republicans who want to take over our
country. This is our country folks, we are the majority, and most people agree with liberal policies.

Donate money, start a website, do whatever you can. We have a year to get the word out as best
we can that Bush is a lying crook.

And please try to stop posting this crap about Bush can't be beat and the democratic party has
ended. Things happen that we don't like but it is not the end of the democratic party. We are strong
and we must keep up the fight. We should also work to get the majority back in the senate, that is
almost as important as having a democratic president.

P.S. O'Dummy really sucks. His 15 minutes of fame are almost over. You guys may not know this
but his ratings are flat. He is getting a 1.6 to 2.0 rating, and it is not increasing. He has been stuck
at a 1.6 to 2.0 for about a year now. I believe he has tricked about all the fools into buying his con
game as he can. Basically he has about 2 million braindead right-wing viewers, and that number is
not going up.

I hope my website and other democratic websites have helped his ratings to be flat. I
have been exposing his lies and spin for over 2 years now, my website alone has about 700,000
unique hits since 8-26-01. I have exposed O'Dummy as the con man he is, and I am damn proud of
it. No matter how much you hate these corporate right-wing idiots on the cable news channels
remember this. Hardly anyone is watching them, at any given time roughly a million people are
watching FOX, about 900,000 CNN, and maybe 350,000 are watching MSRNC. That means the other
289 million people are not watching them. And 90% (or more) of the people who watch FOX are
republicans.

Rant over, lol.

The PR move on * going to Iraq is going to backfire on him.. Repeatedly endlessly, and with the Mission Accomplished flop, it'll even damage his presidential ambitions and see his polls and re-elect numbers drop to single digits before November.

Diebold or no Diebold, the Americans en-masse knows bullshit when they see one, and they'll make sure Diebold is broken down before November and eventually have to be re-replaced with old reliable -- paper ballots.

3. Well, Dems were high on 2002 victories as well
Edited on Fri Nov-28-03 11:08 AM by HypnoToad
And I saw a few arrogant doozies here as well and even I was sure we'd win.

But Wellstone was murdered, Rick Kahn opened his big fat mouth, and people voted out of reactionary emotion rather than infrastructural issues and the Dems lost BIG-TIME. Don't ever forget what happened.

And that's the problem. People only want a job and a place to live under. Otherwise they don't give a fuck. A Dem could get even 60% of the vote. Then October 2004 comes and buchco engineers another murder... and another idiot opens his mouth and sways support against us. Or a terror attack. Or something.

Don't underestimate the evil that is republican party for even an attosecond.

And don't let idiots like Rick Khan turn a for-all memorial into a partisan game.

And always remember that the swing-voter public are as fickle as womanizing men.

Bush can still win. The right event at the right time (don't forget, the public is easily distracted and rarely looks back to remember what people have done) and bushco* will win.

4. Right on!
It's the defeatism that depresses me, not Chimpy or anything he does.

The repubes have a wall of confidence, and belief in their dubious cause, and that passion is what translates into votes. I am, frankly jealous of them especially when I see all these posts here about some silly photo op in Baghdad's airport for 2 hours. It was 2 HOURS, for Christ's sake! We have the truth on our side. We will prevail, and I refuse to believe otherwise until the election returns come in. If we lose, then I won't get depressed, I'll get even angrier than I am now.

5. Remember, "its the economy stupid"? remember, "are you...
better off now that you were 4 years ago"? It still is the economy and the answer to the question of are you better off than you were four years ago. Most Americans care primarily about how they are doing financially and how they think they will be doing in the future. If the economy continues to improve and consumer confidence stays high watch for Bush to win in a landslide of Raygun proportions.

I wouldn't try to defend the current numbers on consumer confidence or on the economy themselves, as I personnally have little faith in them. But what matters is the guy on the street who is not currently registered as either a Dem or a Repuke. They tend to vote their own pocketbook and not the overall complex political situation.

6. oh no!

It's the return of the dreaded "Bush Is Toast!" mantra! Which always means: He isn't.

Past Toast predictions:

9-11 Commission findings
Enron
Worldcom
LIHOP
Afghanistan
Ignoring the UN during the pre-Iraq build-up
Invading Iraq
Mission Accomplished banner
Economy (multiple winner in the toast pantheon)
CIA/Plame leak (this was a huge winner, crossing over into the similarly bogus realm of "Watergate! Drip! Drip!")
Falsifying Jessica Lynch's rescue details
Bring 'em on
Medicare bill
Energy bill
$87 billion aid package request for Iraq
Forest fires of 2003

And on and on and on.... :boring:

Look, all of those things make him the worst asshole to ever squat in the Oval Office, and any of them should have done some damage, but with a compliant media and a pliable public living with way too much fear (and an unhealthy penchant for "reality" TV programs), too much love of symbolic gestures involving the flag and the bible, and other forms of modern American superstition, NO TOAST will be served any earlier than November 2004.

I think he CAN be beaten, but not because of any of the things above, or what you mentioned. He is not "toast" one day sooner than Election Day 2004.

The Democrats need to run on more than Bush's huge shortcomings, they need their own message that will rise above the din of war and jingoism.

No toast will be served in DU for a long long time.

7. I think some people should just shutup and listen
There are people our Mommas warned us about that do nothing but spread negative feelings. Chicken Little syndrome.

Oh NO! The Sky Is Falling!

Chicken Littles are to be laughed at, not listened to.

8. Thank you!
I wonder at the mind set of people who choose to be negative 24/7. Seems many Dems are so beaten down and depressed that they are buying the Repuke spin about *'s invincibility. I'm convinced there aren't enough paperless voting machines to deal with a Dem landslide. Give the Pukes 4 more and that's the only kind of voting system we'll have, ala USSR and Red China. But for now we've got a great chance at taking the whole enchilada in 2004. I think Americans are pissed and hot at the BFEE, especially the elderly and military.
