Gephardt first among women, tied for 5th among men
Why is there such a large gender gap for Gephardt? He does 10% better among women than men.

The Los Angeles Times Poll. Nov. 15-18, 2003. N=662 Democratic primary and caucus voters nationwide. MoE ± 4 (total sample).

2. Is this just California? Anyway, I could understand the gap for Clark and
Holy Joe--i.e., being higher for men, but the rest I really don't see why one sex would have much of a preference.

5. It is a national poll
I don't see why there is such a large gender gap for Gephardt either. Perhaps a Gephardt supporter can shed light on this.

the proportion of men/women among the unions that have endorsed Gephardt.

I would've suspected that Gephardt would fare better among men than women.

10. if that were the case…
I'd expect that Edwards would be doing better among women than he is.

so we don't know what the breakdown of men and women who took part in the poll is, or subsequently what the MOE is on the men/women stats.

9. I could be completely off, but my guess is Healthcare
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it seem like Gephardt is the candidate who is most often associated with the issue of Healthcare?

Is this is so could it be that there is much greater concern for Healthcare among women, which translates into greater support for Gephardt among women?

12. Maybe
But Dean might be more associated with health care than Gephardt.
