Soros and Moveon.org are our best shot at ousting Bush
Edited on Sat Nov-29-03 10:25 AM by Ugnmoose
It will take money - lots of money. Soros has plenty of that and has shown a willingness, in fact even a passion, to spend it, to oust The Resident. And it will take the Internet and an organization with a large following like Moveon.org (1.8 million registered) to help spread the word.

Personally, I think the best use of money is twofold. First register, educate, motivate, and drive people to the polls. Even if it takes a block by block effort. Second, launch a massive advertising campaign that will blitz the airwaves and the major print media with ads that expose the hypocrisy of this administration.

It won't be easy, but I am encouraged that we appear to have the necessary forces in place to make it happen.

1. But we need a second party to fight the republicans.
After this last week, I wonder if the Democrats have any ability to form a unified front. Bush is going to fight hard and dirty. The media is with him. The people are too busy watching Surviour etc. The predictions are already out - another terrorist attack right before the next election. If things are going against Bush, I predict we will have one. It will either be big enough to make the idiot population vote for him or big enough to allow him to cancel the elections.

2. I just signed up to volunteer for moveon.org
I agree that we MUST join up with Soros and any other organization to get Bush out.

3. We don't need the Party
Let the people speak and the Party will follow. Once the politicos see that we are serious and that we are a meaningful and powerful force they will have no choice but to cowtow to our wishes. But as I said it will take alot of money to change things. Fortunately we appear to have someone on the left with enormously deep pockets who wants to make it happen.

6. A small tremor can start an avalanche
I think Soros' financial committment will encourage other wealth donor's to step up to the plate. We are already starting to see this happen.
