1. "Political Legends"?!?!?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

Bill Cashin: A corrupt, thuggish hack politician with no appeal outside of his neighborhood.

Syl Dupuis: An amiable chap who served a single term as mayor three decades ago, and who couldn't convince his own son-in-law to endorse Clark (he's with Lieberman).

Paul Martineau: A reasonably competent guy who has cleaned up the welfare commissioners office, but he's still a relatively obscure character who has only been in office for two years.

Boy, if this isn't a case of overselling your product, nothing is!

4. I take it from your post you've heard of these Gentlemen
which would make them more of a legend than you since I've heard neither mention your name at all, or anyone else for that matter, but thanks for participating in a pro-Clark thread, as they say....negative press is better than no press.

I wonder which candidate you might endorse?

retyred in fla
“good night paul, wherever you are”

So I read the book

he's doing just grand in New Hampshire :eyes:

What is he polling there, like 6% now?

Maybe these "legends" can help a strugglin' military brotha out. God knows he needs it.

6. Here's a thought:
Maybe, just maybe, if Dean supporters don't shit in the threads of other campaign supporters, then they just might return the favor. Just a thought.

10. And here's ANOTHER thought
Maybe, just maybe, you're dreaming if you think THAT'D happen.

Oh, and ibegurpard, how'd you like Clark trashing Dean the other day saying he was off enjoying skiing while he (Clark) was recovering from wounds. Pretty nice eh? Did I mention he trashed Dean on the same day Dean was receiving his brother Charlie's remains in Hawaii in a repatriation ceremony? What'd you think about that?

I mean, I'm just wonderin. Since you're all in to this "play nice" thing. After all, we know how nice MANY of the DU Clarkettes can be. And now the candidate himself is showing his true colors.

11. I have no problem being as ruthless with Deanhaterz as needs be
but I try to limit it to threads that are started to trash him and/or people that invade threads that say something good about him. I try to stay out of threads like this because all it does is piss people off and generate ill will.

16. Thank you for trying to improve the level of conversation here
There are SEVERAL Clark supporters who are just as guilty as the Clark hater you address-its a problem that we'll hopefully outgrow.

I like Dean; he's my second choice in spite of some of his backers that loathe Wes Clark. I'm sure there are many Dean supporters who feel the same.

Those few people who constantly attack and hate irrationally make us all look like fools.

13. This Post Would Be My Idea
Of what someone who simply wishes to disrupt a conversation would say.

It trashes one candidate (Clark) in such a way as to make the poster's candidate (Dean) also look bad.

Thankfully, there ARE some Dean supporters who are civil when engaging in the vollying here at DU.

7. I want to see your attitude change
when Dean starts dropping dramatically in the polls. Will you be so smug then?

8. Last poll I saw
had Dean at 20% and Clark at 16%...in second. He's not doing quite as bad as you had hoped.

9. If Dean gets the nomination I'll vote for him, but I won't work on a
grass roots level for his campaign. I don't think I could stomach being around such a nasty and snide bunch of people as the Deaniacs I see on this board. What really worries me is that you folks may be getting marching orders from your candidate about how to behave. If so, that does not speak, and possibly bode, well for Dean.

15. Yeah, but does that mean ignoring threads promoting one's candidate
because responding might lead to Deaniac retaliatory attacks? These people aren't playing fair. As far as I'm concerned their MO is definitely Rovian.

18. Looks like I have to
go back to NOT reading any threads about candidates. I truly wish DUers would stop bashing Democrats.
