DEC 8 ...mail date for Iraqi Family care packages.. check in here

Please check in here so I can PM you the address.. We need to mail these on Dec 8th or as close to that date as possible.. I will need from each of you:

city/state...and size of box..small (shoe box)...med .... or large..

I don't necessarily need the weight or dimensions unless you have them and want to provide them..

All the boxes will go to the one APO address, and my friend there will deliver them for us.. They will be gong to families in Sadr City (the poorest section of Baghdad)..

For those of you who have not known about this project, there is a thread in the Meeting room that tells all..

Here is a brief synopsis..

I have a personal friend who is in the Coalition (in a very high capacity).. He is Iraqi, and is in the US military (He was "drafted" into service) and he offered to help, when I emailed him to ask how we might do this..

These people are POOR.. Think Appalachia in the 1930's..Most have no running water, little food, and very little shelter..

3. I mailed out two boxes...

to the people you PMed me about a month ago...it was really fun to do them...havent received a letter back yet, but am hoping that they received them before thanksgiving:)

On edit...I mailed to the troops...are these for the Iraqi families?? PM any info on those!
