On election eve of 2002, NBC had Rush Limbaugh on (twice!), of all people, to comment on the Repubs taking the majority of seats.

Brokaw sat there straight-faced and talked with this idiot, as if Rush really had anything substantive to say. If Brokaw had any cajones, he should've told management, "No way am I gonna sit and shoot the shit with that hate-radio assclown."

Any residual respect I had for Brokaw totally evaporated that evening.

He's become a shill for GE (we bring good wars to life) owned NBC, which along with its clones CNBC, MSNBC might as well be joined at the hip with FOX. For years, the frigging "Fleecing of America" segment he does on the NBC Nightly News has spotlighted the errors of big gov't. Never a story about the corporate hydras and their spreading menace. Tom, a former liberal, sold his soul long ago. Nothing he says or does matters now UNLESS he makes a big splash about the Wrongheaded Bush Generation before 11/2/2004. And does so loudly and often.
