1. Why can't we honor our soldiers that way?
I am correct that is a rhetorical question, right? Because the answer is bloody obivous. The neo-con sock puppet would be shown in a bad light and people might start to ask why US men and women are dying and being injured in an unjustified and illegal war.

3. Spanish agents in caskets returning right now
I think he plans on showing this after the commercial break.

Right - they can show the European dead who are returning with full military honors. But not our own. This is an administration of shame.

4. Italy held a state funeral for their 19 dead...
policemen/soldiers a couple of weeks ago. Berlusconi walked with nineteen families behind nineteen flag-draped coffins to a service broadcast across the country. A moment of silence was observed all over Italy. I was there at the time, and felt not only shame for our not honoring our dead, but guilt that, if not for my country, the honored Italians would not have been in Iraq. And, Berlusconi, at least, faced with the consequences of his decision to send Italians to Iraq, did not hide from his country, afraid to be seen with the dead.

Bush takes a turkey to the troops, and is a hero on CNN domestic, and elsewhere --
