Are Repubs "hypocrites" for talking about Democrats' "hatred"? |
|
Is it possible for the Democrats' hatred of Bush to surpass the hatred of the Clintons and the "liberals" that is spewed out everyday by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and other assorted nuts? I don't think so. Have the Democrats called for impeachment of the fraud we have in the White House? Not yet. Have Democrats brought forth issues on the floor of the House, such as illegitimate children, murder accusations, treason, cocaine addict? One cannot help but remember Dan Burton and the watermelon story. As if that proved that Vince Foster was murdered? So, has the Democrats' hatred of Bush reached the level of the Repubs for the last dozen or so years? The answer is no. And that indeed, makes them "hypocrites" when they make that charge...

1. Short Answer, My Friend? |
|
Yes, they are.
Hate for purposes of propagandist union of their voters, and refusal to accept the outcome of elections that go against them as legitimate expressions of the people's will, have been hall-marks of Republican political action for more than a decade.
They have no more grounds to complain when similar tactics are turned against them than Wehrmacht generals had for complaint when the Red Army commenced tank offensives in fine style....

3. Is this a trick question? |
|
The repukes can't attack the message, so they attack the messenger. They can't defend the smirking chimp, so now they say hatefull talk is bad. We are all supposed to have been in a cave for the last 10 years. Who the hell is fooled? Maybe if some of the socalled moderates and fence-sitters start pulling their punches, the repukes have saved a minute amount. The whole thing looks like a fool's errand to me. As Governor Ann Richards said: "You can put lipstick on a pig and call it Monique, but it is still a pig." The Bushies are the Bushies. There is no way to color their incompetance as anything other than what it is. The repukes better circle the wagons. It is going to get worse.

Hypocrite.....From the trusty thesaurus: pietist; actor, attitudinizer, bluffer, charlatan, faker, four-flusher, fraud, humbug, impostor, masquerader, phony, poser, poseur, pretender, quack, sham
four-flusher : to make a false claim
pietist is a good one too. (They lay claim to religion.) : dutifulness in religion : :eyes:
Since the republicans saw fit to waste 8 years and $65 million on investigating Clinton because of their hatred of him.....Yes, they are hypocrites. They have no room to talk. They are the ones who couldn't see through their hatred to let Clinton do his job. Our hatred toward the shrub is with good reason. HE WASN"T ELECTED. Not to mention the total destruction he has wreaked since being appointed. Not to mention PNAC. Not to mention the economy. Not to mention the loss of jobs. There's so many reasons for the Democratic party to hate the shrub, they're too numerous to mention. :grr: :nuke:

... and just as the average American saw the impeachment debacle for the partisan witch hunt that it was, they will see the charge of "Bush hater" for hypocrisy it is.
I don't have a great deal of faith overall in the American electorate to judge complex issues, but on the simple crap like this the big majority will see it for what it is.
