Are there more presidential candidates that we don't know about? |

http://larouchein2004.net/Who the hell is this guy? I'd never heard of him until I stumbled upon his website while googling.

4. A perpetual candidate. some ideas are right on target..others...well... |
|
do some reading about him and draw your own conclusion...it won't be as easy as some may want you to believe.

8. He's an old FDR Democrat and the best proof that Democrats eat their own |
|
Apparently he upset the Democratic establishment. He claims they framed him for something (some kind of white collar thing, I think) and he went to prison for a brief time. He's got a huge following and a lot of his ideas, particularly the FDR-type ideas, sound good. He supported Clinton but didn't like Gore, which seems strange. However, he's not likely to win anything. His best bet would be to pass the torch to someone who agrees with him and whom the Democrats won't automatically attack. I don't know a great deal about him because anytime you ask a Democrat, they react like you've conjured up the spirit of some undead creature that they must send back to the grave.

9. He ran against Clinton in both 1992 and 1996 |
|
He served a federal prison sentance for committing fraud. He was double-billing the credit cards of his supporters.

11. that is a very generous assessment |
|
credit card fraud sent him to prison.
The FDR-like policies he has supported has included quarantining all HIV infected people. In the mideighties his folks would protest on capital hill - signs advocating sending gay HIV/AIDS infected people to an isolated island.
It isn't 'fear' of LaRouche you see, it is revulsion of what he stands for. By some he is considered a cult leader, due to the way his followers are often, i believe, expected to cut ties with family and devote all of their energies (including earning power) to the furtherment of LaRouche. By many he is considered a racist, bigoted crackpot. You would have to put me into that category. After having the pleasure of meeting his followers back in the eighties - who remind me today of the Fred Phelps god hates fags folks - I feel that my assessment is not only widely held, but prety legitimate.

Sharpton, Braun, and Kucinich get national attention and get to participate in the debates while these folks don't?

12. Fear of charges of racism keep Braun and Sharpton in the race |
|
If debate organizers would try to exclude Sharpton or Braun, they would be accused of racism (Alan Keyes cried racism when he was excluded from a debate in 2000). Kucinich is included because of the office he holds, not based on the support his campaign has recieved.
