Poll question: POLL: Which Democratic candidate is your last choice? |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-02-03 11:00 AM by Silverhair
Just like it says. Bush isn't on the list. Which Democratic candidate do you least want to head the list? I have included one who isn't a formal candidate but who gets talked about a whole lot Hillary.
Me? I'm still a Clark supporter and Sharpton got my vote for last.

1. This is just more candidate bashing |
|
and misses the point of what's going on COMPLETELY. * IS part of the equation - it comes down to who here really wants dumbass out of office. I purposely put * on the bottom to get people to pay attention to what is going on here - everybody seems to be so caught up in their "I hate this candidate" outlook that they are forgetting who the target really is - and it's NONE of the Dem candidates (though even I would be hard pressed to vote for Joe).
Let's not lose focus people - putting * back in the WH is the worst thing for this country and the world.

He was championing the war before it got underway. His only problem was with how the war was conducted, not with the war itself. Don't delude yourself.

because that isn't true.
Clark was a registered independant, not a republican, and he has voted for, and contributed to democrats for more than a decade, including when he was in high levels of the military, a place where you aren't supposed to be political.
Clark is my guys main opponent right now, but I'm not gonna lie about him to get ahead

16. Clark scares me, Leiberman is just a jackass |
|
Clark's whole thing is that Bush isn't doing enough on the war on terrorism. I don't know quite what his vision of the war on terror is, but I am sure that it is way off the mark. I think he too sees it as an opportunity to expand the empire, but just wants to go about it in a different way (ie. more friendly-like but with the same end results).
As for Leiberman, he is quite harmless. Yeah he says some shit that pisses me off, but I wouldn't live in fear under a Leiberman administration.

Scare ya? Karl Rove just loves you folks. He can play you like a fiddle so well. He knows you like a book and knows you'll take any bait thrown out there. So basically, you think Clark is a lier when he presents a view against empire. How do you know he is lying to everyone in the debates, in his books, etc? Show me where he is lying so I can see it too in order to identify it.

Why do you have to pull all of these assumptions out of the air, there is nothing to back up these implications you've given about Clark.
Clark has faught in battle, lost friends, and lost troops he was commanding. He has no history of recklessness or corruption and it's wrong of you to slander him.

in order to know about Clark before you lay down the outragious and baseless claims. Would you like a copy of Winning Modern Wars to help? He says America already has a virtual empire. There is no need for a classical one where you conquer and rule other countries. He said the invasion of Iraq was not the real war on terrorism. He said the new ads by bush claiming democrats are attacking him while he fights terrorism is wrong. He said democrats are attacking bush because he isn't fighting terrorism. He is against the PNAC. So how in the world do you come out with these ridiculous claims?

It's like everything he says is directly out of the PNAC Handbook. Everything. And yet you think that Clark is a greater threat than Lieberman. Your post is a perfect example of sheer ignorance.

I've always thought he has the best possible "one liner" in the campaign with his "I know I can beat Bush, I've done it once before".
I'm not saying he's at the top of my list (though many of us HAVE voted for him before and I know quite a few CT Dems who LOVE the guy). Just that he wouldn't be at the bottom. There are some third-party candidates who will get my vote ahead of Sharpton (though he IS entertaining).

Liberman was just along for the ride and, IMHO, dragged him down. It's also kind of ironic for Lieberman to be saying something like that when he had the audacity to be criticizing the Gore campaign last fall.

Gore had the "audacity" to criticize Clinton as well.
Losing is ALWAYS someone else's fault. But I always remember that we would never have to argue about FL if Gore had carried his home state. Carter got his home state in a landslide loss, Mondale got his in a bigger one.
Though I do think that Lieberman hurt us a lot during the recount.

That would mean that those voting for Clark or Dean would rather have Lieberman than their hated Clark or Dean, which ever the case may be. I don't buy that, its just petty people voting and that's why this poll is bullsh*t...

For the alleged front-runner, I notice he ranks only second to Lieberman (who actually got my vote in this poll, so relax), and that isn't good.
Looks like all the relentless proselytizing, juvenile, taunting, cheerleading, browbeating, brownshirt board spamming has had the effect of alienating many potential supporters.
I urge those who don't like Dean to look past his following, and look at his record. There is plenty to not like there. You've got to come by your lack of support for Dean honestly. :-)
