His explanation for supporting the so-called "Defense of Marriage" act was lame and weasel-esque. We're supposed to think he's a good guy because he supports just the act, not a Constitutional Amendment like Frist? Gee, thanks, Tom.

he beat the CRAP out of him over the Defense of Marriage act... Why the hell do we have to have people on Comedy Central be the speakers for progressive America. Christ.

Daschle was pretty boring on C-span, except for a couple of Bush anecdotes, like Bush ordering Gephardt to put his jacket on in the Oval Office. Gep had it over his shoulder and Bush thought it was disrespectful. :scared:

9. Stewart sounded like he really liked his book |
|
so maybe that's what he should do - step down from minority leader so he has more time to write.
I was steamed enough at him before the "weaken Roe v. Wade" bill vote, after that I can barely stand to look at him.

I can't believe that spineless wonder can bring himself to show his face in public. Let alone sullying the sacred Daily Show.

12. He was on Charlie Rose for a full half hour |
|
He is so boring. Charlie asked him how he felt the last election and realized, the house, senate and Presidency were all Republican. He skimmed over that, like it was not that important, and said the most devasting thing for him was the Anthrax sent to his office, that at the time they didn't know for sure the cypro would work, etc. I couldn't believe how he didn't even express anger or sadness that we lost the majority in the Senate, our last holdout and a very important one at that. He's not a fighter, he's a total wimp and if the democrats don't vote him out, they are just as wimpy as he is. He's almost as hard for me to look at as Bush is.
