Bush drops to 54 percent in first poll done AFTER Uday/Qusay deaths |
|
Check out the Ipsos-Reid poll. It was done July 22-24 so it includes two days into the Saddam's sons' story. Bush is at 54 percent approval at 44 percent disapproval, down from 60 percent in just two weeks. http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm

I read this one ragwhore on c-span this morning said the bushes were boring ..they went to bed early. Or something to that effect. This wag has a major case of ostrich syndrome.

The 44% disapproval looks like the highest its ever been in that poll, at least as far as I can tell.

I'd rather see him in that. Dick, too. Come to think of it, Rummy, Perle and Wolfowitz, too. AND CON-doleeza. The whole lot of them can just go right downstairs on the express elevator, if you get my drift.

when you consider 31% of the country think sadaam was directly responsible for 9-11 and a similar percentage think we have found WMDs. never underestimate the stupidity of the masses and their ability to be manipulated.
but, i am not THAT cynical. i believe that the tide is turning and if we can get enough pressure for an investigation or two into the intelligence fallacy or the valerie plame outing the big MO will swith in a hurry.

18. A friend was complaining about all the photos of the dead brothers |
|
She said she can't watch her favorite news shows or go to news websites without the pictures being shown and usually without warning. So I said I was pleased about that, that people will start to link those gruesome images with W himself. I even suggested that maybe some of these news organizations were shoving it down our throats to subvert W's popularity without appearing to do so. Well I'm not really sure about that, but it looks like it's having an effect.
Yea! :bounce:

22. I agree with your friend. |
|
Having seen so many graphic images, lately, I thought I could take it, but these are so very grisly. On most news shows or in newsletters they give warnings, but not with these. I have had graphic images of these two dead men show up on the front pages of newsletters I have received two days in a row, and footage of them even appeared on my local news! The cable news channels are especially bad. Hardball, tonight, showed both old and new footage, Saddam's sons recently killed, dirty and bloody, and then cleaned up and shaved. These last were even worse, if possible. And they had to show them from every angle! I was interested in what Chris Matthews' guests had to say, but just could not look at the screen. He just kept returning to the bodies and seemed to have an unending number of clips! :puke:
I hope it is as you say. I hope the American public finally turns on Bush* over this. I hate to think we're being subjected to this horrendous barrage for nothing!:grr:
