What is the Gray Davis recall issue?!
I've found sites promoting the recall, but no history behind it or even why, didn't the guy win by a large enough percentage?

And if Gray can be recalled, why not the dingaling* in office?

1. This Has Opened The Door For All "Sore Losers" To Have
recall petitions.

Shitfire! When all you need are a lousy million signatures it's easy... too easy.

Every republican who voted against Davis is ready to sign... and THERE's your million right there.

Something's just not right.

3. Holy shit!
Something is very wrong indeed. :-(

But, again, if they can do this to one political figure who won by a reasonable margin (I'm assuming), then they MUST do it to someone who had lost the popular vote and who won by a much smaller margin, whose counting proceedings were interrupted - mostly by republicans...)

If America really is coming down to this sort of vile chicanery, we can only hope that ex-superpowers who we promised to help but didn't will put the US out of its pitiful misery. They may be #1, but they can sure as hell bring us to our knees and we unfortunately deserve it. :-(

America's put itself in the toilet and pushed the plunger. What next, I wonder... :grr:

2. I brought this up at our local Democratic club meeting.
The best they could come up with was that it was "the hypocrisy of it all". So why can't we recall Shrub? There are certainly more reasons than to recall Davis.

5. Guess what?
two can play that game, and I suggest we do. We have a primary in March , and all the Dems will be voting. Wouldn't it be nice if a few selected Pukes , fro not so safe districts were targeted? I have one in mind. Cal. 80th AD. majority dem;; puke squeaked in cause no one voted.

6. Not to my knowledge-
There is no federal recall provision- only impeachment. Maybe we should get an ammendment initiative going?

Davis is being recalled for poor leadership, overspending on the budget, being bamboozled by the energy crooks, illegally raising the car tax and being too cozy with his campaign contributors.

7. illegally raising the car tax?? no siree
Edited on Sat Jul-26-03 03:16 PM by mitchtv
all in the law passed by none other than Pete Wilson. lowers tax in good tiimes ,raises in hard times . try another excuse. WHEN DAVIS WAS FIGHTING THE ENERGY CO'S /CHENEY'S REVENGE AND FERC, WHERE WERE THE PUKES? sitting on their hands(probably counting their profits.) the rubublicans were quiet as churchmice. no suggestons or ideas.Incidentally: I was talking about Assembly persons not congress persons.
