Lieberman senior strategist declares Kerry's campaign D.O.A.
Two polls released this week showed Dean at least 30 percentage points ahead of Kerry among likely voters in the state's Jan. 27 primary. But the Massachusetts senator said he is on an upswing since relaunching his campaign last month and has picked up converts from other campaigns.

However, a senior strategist for rival Joe Lieberman doubted Kerry will be able to turn around his campaign. Mandy Grunwald and two other Lieberman officials told reporters in a conference call on Friday that the Connecticut senator was holding his support in states with primaries after Iowa and New Hampshire even as Kerry and others appeared to be losing ground.

"I don't believe in writing people's obituaries, but I don't see any signs that he's going anywhere,'' Grunwald said of Kerry. "He's been on a steady downward trajectory. I don't see any signs that it's going to be reversed.''

1. Maybe I'm biased myself, but is the pot calling the kettle black?
Okay, maybe Kerry's campaign is over and done with this year, but Lieberman and his campaign seem to be pulling up the rear, these days.

Ms. Mandy might also not be the most impartial source in the world.

9. Lieberman would be an asterisk
were it not for the name recognition factor for Joe.

4. I didn't realize Mandy Grunwald was in the Lieberman camp,
I remember during the Clinton Wars, she was always on the pundit shows defending Bill very forcefully. She never let the rabid right wingers talk over her. She was one of the few that could and did hold her own with those repuke idiots. I respect her.

7. I didn't post this as a dig at Kerry…
Lieberman is the one who looks foolish (to say the least) here.

8. JEEZZZZ - what kind of war are you trying to instigate
one here in GD and 1 over in PC - I'll say the same thing I said over there - it is 7 and one half months until the DEM convention - that's a lifetime in politcs. Do you have the negative energy to keep up your campaign?

DU rules allow the same thread to be started in GD and P&C since some people only read one forum or the other.

I'll be going on vacation for the last 2 weeks of the year in order to replenish my energy… but thank for your concern.

11. No, Joe
No matter how many arrows you sling towards other candidates, you will remain in the political gutter, where you belong.
