What is with all these predictions? Time to connect the dots on DU.
I don't know how many people have noticed this. There have been several hysterical predictions of doom on DU over the last few days. Check these out...

Astrologer predicts possible crisis for Bush on Dec. 10.

6. I'm just in a silly mood Bleachers7, I'm not mocking your thread
But I wouldn't know how to connect those dots even
if I took it real seriously.
And given that something horrible has happened every
day since Nov 2000...

7. I know this is off topic
But Gene Lyon called Scaife the "Scrooge McDuck of the right wing."
It's the funniest line I've ever heard...

Sorry, just stream of consciousness stuff.

8. just end of the year paranoia
See, the human brain sees the days getting shorter and shorter this time of year .... and it feels a sense of impending doom.

Because if the days keep getting shorter, why pretty soon there won't be any day left at all. We'll be plunged into eternal night.

This is why people start to act a little weird this time of year.

It's such a nice time to have Christmas, don't you think?

bah humbug.

9. How come nobody connected the inclement weather with the rumblings
of incoming doom? Two nights ago, psychics were supposedly announcing something huge and vague as going to happen. Then a gigantic nor'easter shut down about a third of the country.

Duh. This was it, methinks.

Just sayin', is all.

Honestly, I've been watching CNN 24/7 since (s)Election 2000, and of course more so since 9/11, waiting... waiting... waiting...

I'm tired of this state of suspensed animation. I'm tired of being afraid, of waiting for the next shoe to drop, of wondering if this is the big scandal that will blow up in Bush's face (as if war, fucking war, wasn't enough, of saying drip... drip... drip...

If not us, who... if not now, when... if now here, where...

I'll never feel comfortable until we receive new leadership. I know it won't solve everything, but it will answer questions, and I just want to know. Until then, I'll be waiting... and waiting... and waiting. November just can't come quick enough for me.

ON EDIT: Typos and whatnot

16. One more to add: a Dec 12 warning
Under hypnosis, an alledged UFO abductee drew a starchart which is said to coincide with a global catastrophe. The configuration matches a window of Dec 12, give or take a couple of days.

"Two days ago, I privately agreed with a public broadcast personality that I would remain silent on this issue in the interest of not causing another panic for what would likely be over nothing. Since that time, an alarming number of reports have been sent in to public broadcast personalities from listeners that have been having a disturbingly vivid and consistent dream of a giant tsunami approaching the west coast of the US at sunset. Stan was shown giant tsunamis. I am not going to remain silent any longer."
http://rense.com/general45/warn.htm

Time's an odd thing, and I believe it's at least possible that certain people can be sensitive to impending calamities. The convergence of alarm regarding the latter part of the week is at least notable.

If the world doesn't end later this week, please disregard.

17. Hmm, Bush signed the Medicare giveaway into law.
Watch the rumble that will start low like an earthquake and build into a huge earth shaker, preferably sending Bush and his enablers off the face of this earth.
