We have great candidates! (Watching FL speeches)
Kerry really layed into Bush and his dress up and photo ops. About how Bush goes to Arlington Nat.Cemetery to lay a wreath, and then cut vets benefits the next day.

Edwards sounded great.

1. Thinking the same! Edwards was magnificent! Kerry is hot!
And Clark hasn't even come on yet.

Damn, we're good.

2. Who's up next??????
Edited on Sat Dec-06-03 03:40 PM by Gloria
I tuned in and caught Edwards and now Kerry doing speeches. I understand they had a Q & A, which Edwards missed, so they asked him some questions after his speech.

What's the schedule for the speeches?? When does Clark come up??

Edwards speech was great and Kerry is doing great, too! Way back when I was for Kerry, but his campaign seems to have fallen apart. Too bad, I think he's on a level with Clark...

On edit; Post #1 just came up and answered my question about Clark's speech....

3. Kerry's going after Bush and vets, Halliburton and GOP deals in

Iraq, and Bush and the Saudis. Healthcare, now. Making it personal, his parents both dying and dealing with the system. And now actually talking about his prostate cancer. Thanking Americans for the health care he has as a Senator....and aiming for health care for all Americans.

Yes, a man without a prostate can be President...we've had a number of Republican presidents who haven't had a heart! Great line!!!

This is one of the best speeches I've seen him give....

4. I hope both Pres. and VP are from Primaries.
Edwards, Kerry, Clark, and Dean, all have a lot to be said for them.

I'd like an Edwards-Dean ticket, or some other combination involving two people from the primaries.

6. This is a better format than those idiotic TV debates we have been getting
Edwards was quite good in this format.

8. Agreed, they can lay out their agendas! Kerry just said he would
roll back the high end tax cuts, but like Clinton, protect the middle class. Like that he mentioned Clinton.

All those "debates" should have been mostly speeches, with Q & A. Dems made a big mistake letting the crap media dictate the formats....

16. I'll say. The media sets those forums up to do damage, not enlighten.

10. Agreed! They are all excellent.
I don't agree with any of them on every issue but I'll be happy to vote for whoever gets the nomination.
Also - someone needs to muzzle that guy with the whistle.

12. The whistle has to go.
The demo for Kerry was long, but let them get fired up. We need it all.

14. Yikes!
The crowd doesn't seem too thrilled about Leiberman. ( For those not watching, a man, who I think is McCaulife, asked the crowd who they liked naming each candidate. )Also, he forgot Dick Gephart.

15. During the recount, Lieberman implied that votes cast
During the recount, Lieberman implied that votes cast by soldiers postmarked AFTER the election, from soldiers who hadn't registerd in Florida, should count. If those illegal ballots were properly rejected,
Gore would have won.

People in Florida shouldn't cheer Lieberman.
