Why isn't Janklow being referred to as Republican Janklow |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-09-03 12:14 PM by corarose
If it were a Democrat they would be calling him Democratic Congressman Janklow or Congressman Janklow the Democrat.
The "Liberal" media would have made sure that the Democrat title was in there every time that they talked about him and we would be having a 24/7 media blitz over it.
Every pundit would be examining why he was driving drunk and why he mowed someone down with his car and killed them.
They would also examine the reason why he claimed that he hadn't eaten in 24 hours and they would find people to say that he did eat.
Cameras would be in the court room and his family would be interrogated. They would also make sure that they would destroy his family.
Jesus why are they not putting his Republican Title behind him when they speak about him. Don't you think they are proud of the man since he is one of their own?

4. And also, same reason you are not hearing much about Neil Bush |
|
but if it were Roger Clinton that did that crap it'd be all over the news 24/7 (guess Michael Jackson is still more important, plus we have the Dru Sjodin distraction, no offense whatsoever to her and her poor family, for whom my heart aches...) It's the double standard of the 'liberal' media acting up again, my God, who believes that crap any more?

8. I've seen more stories today of how Janklow is a hero in S.D. |
|
And that no one has done more good for the state! They asked one lady on the street and she said he should be pardoned by the gov b/c he's done so much good for S.D. Another lady said he should be pardoned b/c he's already been publicly humiliated and that's enough punishment. What about the man he killed and his family you fucken idiots!!! You watch. He'll get probation and 2-3yrs from now will be a re-emerging star in the repub party and run for senate or something. Or his repub buddies will set him up w/ a fat lobbying job!!

The man has a history of crooked dealings going back at least forty years. Someone's covering his backside and, sadly, it's probably the white folks in South Dakota. How Tom Daschle ever got as far as he has is a miracle, no matter what you think of him at the moment.

They would also examine the reason why he claimed that he hadn't eaten in 24 hours and they would find people to say that he did eat.
... of one of our local politicians who got caught seriously speeding and tried to outrun the officer. He claimed his bowels were acting up on him and he had to get home in a hurry.
Every diabetic I have ever known is a little ditsy about keeping their blood sugar under control. They know what will happen if they don't. What's with this Janklow clown?

So far today I've heard about this story about 20 times. Each and every time he has been identified as a "Republican".
That is about 20 times more often then I remember hearing Condit refered to as a "Democrat" during the entire time he was newsworthy.

20. Didn't see anything on tonights national news |
|
I flipped between CBS, ABC, NBC hoping to see their coverage on Janklow's conviction. Maybe I missed it while flipping back and forth but I didn't see it mentioned at all on any one of the networks.
However, I did catch to segments on Micheal Jackson.
So, a celebrity ACCUSED of a crime is more important than an elected official CONVICTED of 2nd Degree Manslaughter?
