One positive note from the debate tonight... |
|
It seemed to me, by and large, that all the candidates were very civil toward one another. Moreso than any other debate, in my opinion. They agreed with their opponents in some instances. Also, it was a nice touch for Kerry to permit Braun to finish her response. It was good to hear Clark say, "I agree with Howard" on a certain issue. The only candidate that appeared to be somewhat out of place tonight was Joe Lieberman, but only on his issues, not on his civility.

I think they.. on the whole, treated each other with a little more respect.

that part of the reason was because one of the candidates called Ted Koppel to account for wasting the debate talking about endorsements (Dennis I think.) I was thinking the same thing. The debate from the Dems was good, but the questions for the most part were irrelevant to the needs of America. Also they had some scathing comments on our leader Stump.

I was very disappointed in Ted's performance tonight. Had high hopes due to his taking on Bush in past Nightlines.
