1. I think any ticket could beat Bush |
|
A Kucinich/Sharpton Ticket, a Braun/Edwards ticket, even a Lierberman/Pee Wee Herman ticket can beat Bush. Why? Because who ever gets nominate, I'm going to bust my ass and make everyone I know bust their asses to make sure they win.

about the ticket with Pee Wee Herman. :-)
You are dead on correct- any of our candidates and whichever running mate s/he chooses can oust Shrub next year. The caveat to that? We all have to work to make it happen and not just sit back and sulk if our favorite fails to get the nomination.

Though I have a feeling Dean is going to choose Graham as his running mate should he get the nomination. But I think a Dean/Clark ticket would be absolutely unbeatable!

10. you should replace could with would |
|
of course that ticket COULD beat Bush, but that isn't what you should be asking.
Any major party pretty much has an automatic 40 percent of the vote no matter what. Therefor, without being able to know exactly what an incumbant president will do or be affected by exactly, of course Dean "Could" beat Bush.
But he probably wouldn't, no matter who is vp is, barring a second recession and/or 100's of more casualties in Iraq

16. As much as I hate to say this, there will be 100's more casualties in Iraq |
|
Nothing over there shows any sign of that changing. As for the so called economic recovery, it's complete crap so far, with the regime and their compliant media counting jobs in India, retail Xmas help and jobs at Burger King as dents in the 3.5 million jobs Junior lost.
Not that I'm wishing for a bad economy or high casualties, of course, but the corporate media lies can only cover up things like that for so long.

I think that Dean/Clark or Clark/Dean will beat Bush. I think that a ticket with either one of them at the top will defeat Bush. And whoever gets the nomination, I would prefer the other one, or Bob Graham, in the VP spot over all of the other current candidates.

Unless Dean changes his message and starts promising the middle-class a tax-cut (or at least that he won't raise their taxes), he'll lose.

But lets face it; Dean was sent out to sea when he embraced Gores’ support. Dean thinks anyone West of the Hudson is a toothless hillbilly moron, and Al wants to take all our guns and beat us over the head with his book Earth-in-the-Balance. Perception is reality folks. Number one rule about holes Howard: When you find yourself suck in one, stop digging. Angry-Man Dean can kiss the South goodbye; he has literally handed it to Bush. Say goodnight, turn out the lights, and go home. You blew-it on a national level. Hillary one, Dean zero. Nobody, Democrats or Republicans want to see 2000 revisited.

He couldn't even raise money in Florida to stay in the race. Floridians I talked to at FLA State Convention wish he would just retire and write a book or something!
We need a VP candidate who will help take the southern states. My choice would be Hillary! If not her, then Dean or Clark, or even Edwards.

|
It's vital. No undercutting or anti-Clark issues from this independent voter that desires a Democratic victory over Bush. Hell, I'm for Dennis Kucinich myself as are a lot of other DUers. But we've got to start unifying around the next President now.
Explore the strength of a Dean/Clark ticket. Formidable indeed IMHO.

54. Dean will not stand up to the media onslaught any better than Gore did |
|
I was so pissed at the media for attacking Gore and giving Bush a free ride in 2000 and I feel they will do it again this time. I haven't seen Dean stand up to them in any of his appearances and I have to admit I haven't seen much of his appearances since I don't like him as my President.
Clark will not play second place to Dean so you should forget about that scenario. If Dean needs Clark to win then it proves he can't beat Bush period.
