Who do I support?
Edited on Wed Dec-10-03 12:51 PM by juancarlos
None of the nine has grabbed my attention. Some of the candidates are jokes, others are robotic, and one drops the "F-bomb" to get any coverage. Tell me why I should support your guy.

edit to say: I just feel disconnected from them, none seems to jump at me and say "hey, I'm your guy"

1. Just go with the frontrunner

or the eventual nominee

or just vote for Bush.

on edit:
yeah, the overall calibre of the candidates that our political system produces can be a bit embarassing.... until you compare them to the kind of president it produced in 2000.

2. Don't support my guy
Do some research on the candidates and pick your own guy. You're on the web, go look at the platforms, because that's one thing you didn't mention in your post.

3. I hate to be criticial
But have you considered looking at the candidates and going over their positions? Maybe visiting their websites (helpfully linked to up on the front?) Why not just take some time and go down the list and come up with the candidte who best reflects your views.

4. Support The Founding Fathers
Not grabbed yet? Redirect your valuable energies! Do whatever you can to ensure a fair vote and increased participation in 2004. Register your friends and co-workers to vote. Support verifiable ballot receipts for electronic voting. You will have plenty of time next year to throw yourself behind a candidate.

Peace,
Teresa

5. That is up too you
Research the candidates positions and see if they fit the issues closest too you. None of them really jumps out and says "hey, I'm your guy" I don't think anyone will ever will, but I do support Dean and like the others as well except for Lieberman.

6. Thanks for the replies so far...
I've researched the viable candidates, and still haven't come up with "my guy" I'll keep looking, or just sit out the primary and throw my support to the winner of the primary. I wish we had another Teddy Roosevelt, or another Abe Lincoln.

7. What Issue Is Most Important to You?
Mine is children. I find it abhorrent that the richest country in the world still contains children dying from hunger and abuse. Far worse, we can't find it within ourselves to ensure healthcare for all our children.

Now go look at the website, find the candidate who holds truest to your strong belief. You might not be "jazzed", but that's your guy.
