Never thought I would see the day.... |
|
when a US pResident would out a CIA agent in order to get revenge on her husband because he opposed the war and get away with it. Not only that, but as polls are telling us now Bush would probably be re-elected (or selected) in 2004. Seriously, how could any american in good conscience vote for Bush after outing a CIA agent only because her hubby had a different opinion regarding Iraq. It really is sickening. There should an outpour of anger from all over the country.....the people (whether you are a repub or not), the media and of course the congress. But there is total silence on this....it was only a "story" for a few weeks and like all other BushGates the story eventually goes away very quietly. One can only imagine if President Clinton did this very same thing. Does any really believe the media (especially cable news at night and on hate radio during the day) would give Clinton a pass on this and say we don't need an independent counsel? No way! If this was the case we would be in the middle of a constitutional crisis right now with impeachment hearing and special prosecutors all over the place. And Bush gets a pass and there are still a ton of people who are going to vote for him again?
What can be done about this?

1. Not much can be done (about this) |
|
The same "Liberal Media" that refuses to delve into the illegal activities of this administration is the same Media that we would depend on to keep this story (or any news of the story) alive.

understand the white supremacy agenda of the republican party, you will never understand why people will vote for Bush despite all the fuck-ups he commits. As long as he shows unrepentant willingness to kill other peoples, he will be supported by the psyches of scared americans. The fear goes much further than terrorist bombings. It runs also to the changing color of american society. Bush knows this and plays it very well. In fact, when you think about it, he's applauded for being stupid. His fans like it that he can't speak intellectually. They like the stupid "bring 'em on" bullshit because it echoes across the strata of all their fears.

4. a caller just called into C-Span |
|
and asked the NY times Washington editor Richard Berke why the CIA outing story isn't being investigated by them and mentioned Greg Palast? I find it amazing that this guy Berke said he wasn't familar with Greg Palast.....Yea, Right! Who here has sent this guy Berke any letters about Greg Palast's investigative reporting? I think this guy Berke is a liar.
Your right if it where Clinton we would be in full tilt boogie investigation mode. People are calling into C-Span and asking these NY Times reporters the same questions reporters are just blowing it off if you ask me or talk about how it's so expensive.
Oops! a second caller called in and asked the Palast question again.....so you think Berke will try to find out who Palast is? I doubt it, he now says he's heard of Palast but hasn't read anything of his! Why kind of a Editor is he? People like Berke are part of the problem $$$$ before reporting America is a corporatist state.

5. I have to believe that their are still Americans who care. |
|
The person in the WH who revealed that two Administration people commited Treason did so because they grew up believing in American principles. The five journalists who elected to not be a part of Treason within their Country have to care. People in the Security arena care. This may take time to do the right way, but the crime of Treason will not be allowed to pass .
