3rd anniversary of the Death of the Old American Republic today |
|
Born July 4, 1776 Died Dec. 12, 2000
Can it be resurrected? Am I being too hyperbolic or will historians of the future, unencumbered by the prejudices and vanities today, place the beginning of the end here, as the end of the Roman Republic is marked on the day Caeser crossed the Rubicon.
Thoughts? Additions? Flames?
Let us keep this thread kicked out of respect for the Old American Republic, in which all of us DUers are citizens of in our hearts, even if it only exists as a few vestigal remnants a toothless shadow of an Imperial Senate, and slogans leftover from when we were members of the Free World...
May the Old Republic be restored!
